Al Ajami President of the Gulf Comparative Education Society

The Arab Open University in Kuwait announced that its Assistant Director for Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al Ajami, has become president of the Gulf Comparative Education Society (GCES). The Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research in the United Arab Emirates is the secretariat for the society. Dr. Al Ajami was installed as president during the sixth annual GCES Symposium, which was organized by Middlesex University in Dubai and held from April 15-17, 2015.

Dr. Al Ajami confirmed in a press statement that this installation reflects the extent to which education is promoted in the Gulf, particularly in Kuwait, pointing out that the university branch in Kuwait is keen to communicate with civil society organizations and non-profit organizations a vision consistent with the university's strategic plan, which includes searching for opportunities for cooperation in the provision and development of education for all residents of the Arab world.
