Arts & Engagement

  • Arts & Culture Manager

    Suqrat bin Bisher

    Suqrat holds a bachelor of arts in applied communication from the Higher Colleges of Technology-Dubai Men’s College. During his studies, Suqrat supported the Foundation by producing short films in connection with its work. During 2012 he also worked as a teaching assistant at the Dubai Men’s College. Suqrat has been involved in the organization of five art exhibitions and has filmed and directed more than seven short films and documentaries including Under the Tree, Sudfa, Ghalia, and Sha’am, some of which were screened at the Gulf Film Festival in 2011. His latest documentary, Drop Outs (Silent Weapon), was produced in collaboration with the Al Qasimi Foundation. Suqrat is also the director and co-founder of the Dubai Students Film Festival.

  • Arts & Community Engagement Director

    Caitrin Mullan

    Caitrin Mullan serves as the Arts & Community Engagement Director at the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research, where she is responsible for organizational collaborations, competitive grants, and strategic communication efforts. She also helped develop the Foundation’s College Preparation and Sheikh Saqr Overseas Scholarship programs, which prepare and encourage promising Emirati students and young professionals to undertake university studies overseas.

    Prior to joining the Al Qasimi Foundation in 2012, Caitrin worked at the University of Minnesota in the United States for over eight years in positions related to student affairs and undergraduate education. Her higher education experience includes strategic planning, admissions and advising, student leadership development, experiential learning, and diversity and inclusion capacity building. Caitrin holds a Journalism BA, Environmental Science BS, and Water Resources Science MS from the University of Minnesota and spent a year studying at the University of Queensland, Australia as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. 

  • Interactive Media Coordinator

    Aaesha Al Ahmed

    Aaesha Al Ahmed holds a bachelor of applied media degree from the Higher Colleges of Technology and previously worked as the community engagement & outreach coordinator at the Foundation. Prior to rejoining the Foundation, Aaesha worked in a government department in Ras Al Khaimah for three years. Aaesha is responsible for promoting the Foundation’s activities in English and Arabic to the broader local and international communities through media relations, social media management, and by creating multimedia content. Her goal is to participate actively and productively in fields that help her to learn and develop new skills.​

  • Marketing Executive

    Dr. Anna Uzarowska

    Prior to joining the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research as a Marketing Executive, Dr. Anna Uzarowska spent the previous six years working with the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK), where she supported membership, events, and social media activities, among other functions. Anna holds a PhD from the Technical University of Munich, Germany and a MSc from the Agricultural University of Szczecin, Poland. Anna is responsible for communications and stakeholder management and relationship development in support of the Foundation’s arts and culture events and programs,

  • Graphic Designer

    Azza Alnuaimi

    Azza Alnuaimi recently graduated from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, where she specialized in applied media and graphic design. She joined the Foundation’s Arts & Engagement team as a full-time staff member following her internship developing content and branding for the 7th Annual Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival. In addition to her graphic design expertise, Azza is responsible for multimedia projects and supports the Foundation’s broader event and communication efforts.

  • Events Executive

    Gretchen Flores

    Gretchen Flores serves as the Events Executive at the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research, where she is responsible for event planning and logistics, and assists with stakeholder engagement and management. She graduated from Bicol University, Philippines with a BS in education. Since joining the Foundation, Gretchen has been involved in numerous events such as Community Gatherings, the Majlis series, and the Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival.

    Prior to her work with the Foundation, Gretchen was a teacher in the Philippines for three years. She later worked as a receptionist and after-sales and logistics coordinator for a Swiss company in Ras Al Khaimah, finally bringing her administrative and creative skills to the Foundation in 2013.

  • Publication Editor

    Holly Cook

    Holly has spent the last seven years working in the education sector with experience ranging from teaching, teacher professional development, curriculum design, research, community outreach, and advocacy. As a teacher and facilitator, Holly has taught English as a second language, leadership, peace and human rights education, and conflict transformation. She spent over four years teaching international students and worked with vulnerable populations all around the world: from refugees in Liberia, to community leaders, inter-faith women’s groups, and at-risk youth in Kenya, to immigrant and migrant students in the United States.

    Holly is passionate about the role education plays in fostering resilient, cohesive, and engaged communities. She received her bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology from Harvard University and her master’s degree in international education development from Columbia University, where she specialized in education in emergencies.

  • Non-Resident Translator

    Sahar S. Jawad

    Sahar S. Jawad is an internationally certified translator in English and Arabic, and also holds a Bachelor Degree in Health Administration from Baghdad University. She has more than 15 years of experience in translation, editing, proof reading and transcribing. She also has experience in office management, events planning and providing administrative support. She has collaborated with renowned researchers from all over the world and works with the Al Qasimi Foundation supporting its research initiatives and grantees.

  • Non-Resident Graphic Designer

    Jineesh Illath Mammasram

    Jineesh has been a graphic designer for over 16 years, working across the Arab Gulf region, and has been working with the Foundation since 2009. He currently is a freelance designer who assists the Foundation with branding, creative design, and conceptualization and layout of marketing materials and publications. He has numerous certificates in different aspects of design, as well as a Masters of Business in advertising and marketing from SNERB.

  • Intern

    Helena Hubbard

    Helena Hubbard is a recent Chester University graduate from the UK. After studying events management for her degree, she is excited to now be working with the Foundation as an intern on projects such as the 2020 Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival. Helena’s degree covered topics such as international tourism, marketing, project and strategic management, and will now be helping the team with their event planning, stakeholder engagement, and logistical planning.
