21st Century Teaching is a series of five professional development workshops providing a practical, hands-on introduction to technology tools that can facilitate lesson planning and classroom learning in the digital era. The course is open to all teachers, school principals, assistant principals and Education Zone supervisors in Ras Al Khaimah.
During the course participants will be shown how to setup a classroom blog, how to make a podcast and how to use Open Education Resources to enrich lesson planning. Participants will also be introduced to the Ras Al Khaimah Teachers’ Network, a social and professional networking site, bringing educators in Ras Al Khaimah, across the UAE and around the world together to share ideas and best practise.
The course will take place at the Al Qasimi Foundation, 4th Floor of the RAK GAS Building (opposite the city centre Hilton Hotel) between 10:00am and 1:00pm on the following dates:
- Saturday 18 February
- Saturday 3 March
- Saturday 17 March
- Saturday 14 April
- Saturday 28 April
Applicants will be allocated places on a first-come, first-served basis. If sufficient applications are received a second workshop will be run between 4:00pm and 7:00pm on the same dates.
