    Overview

A key part of the Al Qasimi Foundation's mission is to develop and deliver strategic programs and initiatives that strengthen the Ras Al Khaimah community. We are committed to designing, offering, supporting, and funding professional development opportunities to those working in the education sector and local government agencies in the Emirate. The Foundation also focuses on supporting marginalized members of the community, including the prison population and elderly, and seeks to identify new areas of the local community that could benefit from professional development support. While these areas form the central focus of the Foundation's engagement activities, we strive to create an ecosystem of collaboration, working with local partners to establish sustainable growth and find creative solutions to enact positive change in our community.

    Educators

Since 2010, the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research has provided professional development programs for teachers at government and private schools in Ras Al Khaimah. The programming has sought to help them solve the challenges they face in their schools and increase student engagement and learning, thus raising the overall standard of education in the emirate. Presently, activities include professional development courses and workshops, a virtual platform called the Ras Al Khaimah Teachers Network, and an international teacher exchange program. In 2018, the Al Qasimi Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Education (MOE) to formalize our ongoing collaboration in professional development programming.
