Employment Pathways or Empty Promises? Student Perceptions of University and Career Center Support in Facilitating Employment in the UAE

This paper examines how UAE universities and career centers support students’ transition to employment. While helpful, they often do not sufficiently aid students in acquiring "real-world" experience or accessing job opportunities. Students found faculty, peers, and alumni most useful. Recommendations include formalizing mentorships and improving university-industry ties.

This paper explores gender disparities in employment in Ras Al Khaimah, focusing on Emiratization efforts like the Nafis Program. Despite its success, 5,000 Emiratis remain unemployed.
